We carry out research into music not previously heard in modern times. We programme and record innovative music choices, including neglected Renaissance repertoire, alongside music by contemporary composers.

Our performances and recordings have met with great critical acclaim. Reviews have noted the clarity and precision of our singing, our wonderful sound and the interesting range of music performed.

We are a flexible group, at home singing with a period instrument orchestra, where singers take it in turns to be soloists as ‘first amongst equals’, or music drawn from the Classical, Baroque or Romantic repertoire.

We perform in the East Midlands and East of England and our singers are drawn from these areas. We bring amazing performances to places that rarely have access to this rich range of music.

We will provide opportunities for young singers and young conductors to learn, by experiencing the depth of our repertoire, and our approach to professional music performance.

Your support means a great deal and will have a big impact on what we are able to do.

It will, for example, allow us to carry out research into rarely performed Renaissance music worthy of greater attention, helping contemporary composers to champion pieces, or commission them to create new work.

A donation towards a concert helps us to provide something amazing for a rural community. Donations between £100 and £1000 provide considerable help.

Support for recordings will allow us to provide insight into neglected or under-represented composers. You might consider a donation between £250 and £5000.

Funding to help a singer will allow a locally based professional to establish or develop their career.
