St Mary and All Saints, Fotheringhay
Unreserved seating.
The Church of St Mary and All Saints is noted for containing a mausoleum to leading members of the Yorkist dynasty of the Wars of the Roses.
Mary, Queen of Scots, was executed at nearby Fotheringhay Castle. The castle is now little more than an earthen mound. The castle was the principal home of two Dukes of York. Edward, 2nd Duke of York, represented the basis for the adoption of this church as a mausoleum to the Yorkist dynasty.
